John Voorhies
John Voorhies, a Los Angeles based bassist for prog rock tribute Without Warning, can be found performing at many Southern California venues such as the House of Blues in Hollywood, the BriXton, and Saint Rocke in the South Bay.
John joined Without Warning in 2012 and found himself immersed in a challenge to master playing and singing some of the most difficult songs in progressive rock history. Nobody can rock a prog rock tribute with the precision of Without Warning. John shares the stage with Jamie Kichline (guitars), Bob Hughes (drums), David Anderson (keyboards) and stellar metal-maven lead vocalist Megan Dawn.
Known for his versatility and creative chops John really shines while playing an eclectic mix of genres. Along with his tour of duty in Without Warning, John can be seen pounding the bass on stage with the seminal punk act the Angry Samoans. These guys can still bring-it, rocking their infamous 80's slam "Get off the Air". They just completed tour stops in Hawaii and Las Vegas, proceeding next into northern California, Washington, then east to Detroit and New York. John also brings thunder to the RapCore/Hardcore Rock act 1AD7. The band has developed a brutal mix of pumped energetic mayhem known as "Rhythm and Violence". 1AD7 did the 2010 Vans Warped Tour and may be seen on some of the west coast Tour dates in 2012.
Additionally, John can be heard with So Cal modern country musicians Kenny Charles, Frank Battisti, and the PainKillerz.
